Whole-Home Renovations by Redden's Contracting in Kingston, Ontario.

Overview

What whole-home work looks like with us.

A whole-home renovation is a general contractor's hardest test. Every trade needs to be sequenced against every other trade, every material order needs to hit the site on the right week, every inspection needs to clear without delaying the one behind it. We've run enough of them to know where the pinch points are and how to protect your timeline and budget through them.

Most of our whole-home clients are mid-renovation of a house they already love — a 1920s limestone they've owned for fifteen years, a 1960s side-split that just needs to work for the next generation. We treat your house the way you treat it: like it's worth doing right.

Questions, answered

Whole-Home Renovations — questions we hear.

  • For gut renovations, yes — it's safer, cheaper, and the project runs 20–30% faster without occupied-home protocols. For phased renovations, we can keep you in one zone while working in another.

  • Fixed-price line-item quote after a paid design and scoping phase. We don't give "ballpark" numbers on whole-home work because they always mislead. A few weeks of careful planning saves months of surprises.

  • Yes — Kingston has some of Ontario's finest limestone heritage stock. We've renovated dozens of pre-1900 homes. Where heritage designations apply, we coordinate with the Heritage Kingston office.
