Redden’s Contracting was founded in Kingston with a simple premise: a contracting company should be as reliable as the houses it builds.
Our story
We work on the streets we grew up on.
We’re a local, family-rooted contracting company working in the neighbourhoods we grew up in. The limestone streets of Sydenham Ward, the mid-century streets of Calvin Park, the lakefront properties of Amherstview and Bath. These are the houses we’ve worked on, and in many cases, visited before they were ours to build.
Our name is on every project we finish. That’s a real thing in a small city: you finish a kitchen, the homeowner’s neighbour sees it over a fence, and within a month you’re quoting theirs. The only way that cycle keeps turning is doing the work properly the first time.
We run our own trades (framers, trim carpenters, tile setters, painters) and partner with long-standing Kingston subtrades for plumbing, electrical, and HVAC. We don’t hire day-labour for critical work. That’s the line between a renovation that holds up and one that calls you back.
How we work
Four commitments, every project.

Fixed-price quoting
Every project gets a written line-item quote after an on-site consultation. No ballpark figures, no surprise extras. Change orders are documented in writing with cost and schedule impact before we proceed.

Weekly client reporting
You get a weekly update on progress, what’s next, any obstacles, and any selections needed from you. No chasing us for status.

Protected job sites
Dust barriers, floor protection, daily clean-up. Your house stays your house, even mid-renovation. We leave it tidier at 5pm than a lot of crews leave it at the end of the week.

Warranty you can actually use
One-year workmanship warranty on everything we install. If something fails because of how we built it, we come back. Period.
